The sequels to two other films 'Thegidi' that starred Ashok Selvan and Janani Iyer and 'Maayavan' that had Sundeep Kishan and Jackie Shroff in the leads were also announced. We had reported much earlier that the sequel to 'Soodhu Kavvum' is planned and now Thirukumaran Entertainment has officially announced that the script is in final stages and will go on floors soon after the coronavirus pandemic ends.
The film with music score by Santhosh Narayanan had the ensemble cast of Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, Karunakaran, Ramesh Tilak and Sanchita Shetty. Vijay Sethupathi tasted his first major box office success in 2013 with 'Soodhu Kavvum' the romantic comedy thriller film directed by Nalan Kumaraswamy and produced by C.V.
